The Colossal Chest Mod allows you to store even more inventory, making many other storage methods in Minecraft obsolete. As the name suggests, it lets you create enormous storage chests. You owe your thanks to the modder Kroser for it’s creation.
You’ll need two blocks to create the Colossal Chest, the Chest Wall and the Colossal Chest Core. To create the Chest Wall you’ll need to craft it with a log surrounded by planks, granting you two Chest Walls. To craft the Colossal Chest Core, you’ll simply need one Chest Wall and one Iron Ingot.

After you have your material, you simply form a cubic pattern with your Chest Walls. Hollow out the center of your Chest Walls, and insert the Colossal Chest Core. With this done, you should have a viable Colossal Chest completed. From here you can attach hoppers or pipes to your chest, which will give you items according to the way you set the chest to. Of course, you can also access your items through the Graphical User Interface.
The minimum size for your Colossal Chest is two blocks. However, you can expand your chest all the way up to a massive nine-block structure.
Put simply, the Colossal Chest Mod Minecraft allows you to store your belongings inside of one massive chest to the extent of chests you used in it’s construction. The extra inventory space is quite handy for just about any gameplay mode you choose, particularly Hardcore mode. Thanks to its enormous size, the Colossal Chest is easily visible from a far away distance.
With all that said, the Colossal Chest Mod 1.11.2 is not perfect. If part of your Colossal Chest is damaged, the entire thing’s done for and you risk to have your items spilled everywhere. Though, for the most part, the pros outweigh the cons.
There are two ways to install the mod. For both methods, you must download the Minecraft Forge Installer.
Launch Minecraft and select Forge from the profile list. Click on Edit Profile, and then Open Game Dir. This should open your game folder. From here you can create a new folder called “mods”. Download this mod and Cyclops Mod, and insert them into your mods folder.
For the second method, begin by downloading the Forge Installer again. Run Forge Installer and type %appdata%/.minecraft/mods on the Start Menu. Download the mod, move it to the “mods” folder and you’re ready to play!

To build these chests, you will need multiple Chest Wall blocks and exactly one Colossal Chest Core block.
How to install:
- Download Minecraft Forge and Cyclops Core
- Right click, Run as Administrator and press OK to install Forge. (You can skip this step if you’ve installed Minecraft Forge)
- Open Start on desktop => Open Run (Or you can use the Windows +R keyboard shortcut)
- Type %appdata% into Run and press enter
- Go to folder /.minecraft/mods
- Put the jar file of mod into mods folder and then run Minecraft. Done!
