The doors are the windows to… well, that expression really only works one way which is exactly like how the doors of Minecraft work. If you were playing Minecraft without any mods, you’d notice the only real difference in the doors depends on what type of wood they’re made out of. They all move the same way and they pretty much look the same as well, even if the wood is different.

If you’re looking to spice of your doorway, then you’ll like the Malisis Doors Mod. Now, you’ll have access to quite a few new doors to choose from. Plus, some of them actually have their own way of opening! For instance, some slide into adjacent walls when they open! There are also new animations for the vanilla doors too if you don’t want to get too “wild” with your choices.

While the Malisis Doors Mod 1.11.2 seems pretty straight-forward and you’d expect the only new additions to be doors, there are quite a few other items added in. There are other furniture items to choose from, like curtains. The curtains move like doors do, if you right click them, they will either open or close. The paper door is the doorway that will slide into an adjacent wall. There are also doors that resemble a jail cell with iron bars. These jail cell doors also slide into an adjacent wall when right clicked. You can even place a sensor bar above a sliding door so you can don’t even have to manually operate the door, just walk in front of it and it will open for you! This is great if you’re the kind of player who likes to design a modern city, what is cooler than motion activated doors in Minecraft? Nothing, nothing is cooler than that.

If you want to know what the absolute best door from the Malisis Doors Mod for Minecraft selection is, it would probably be the giant door. It takes up more than two vertical blocks. It’s quite big which makes it perfect if you have a big hole in your wall that you want to fill or making a grand entrance. If you want to make a statement with a doorway, then you definitely will appreciate the giant door. There are also automated garage doors which are really big. There are just so many cool and unique doors that you might not think about but really add a totally new aspect to Minecraft.

How to install:

Download Minecraft Forge 1.12.2
Download and run MalisisCore
Right click, Run as Administrator and press OK to install Forge. (You can skip this step if you’ve installed Minecraft Forge)
Open Start on desktop => Open Run (Or you can use the Windows +R keyboard shortcut)
Type %appdata% into Run and press enter
Go to folder /.minecraft/mods
Put the jar file of Malisis Doors Mod into mods folder and then run Minecraft. Done!
