These mods enhance the gameplay experience by adding new features, improving graphics, and introducing new challenges. The list includes mods like “Enhanced Combat,” which enhances the fighting mechanics with new moves and abilities, “Visual Overhaul,” which improves the game’s graphics and visual effects, and “Challenge Mode,” which introduces new difficulty levels to test players’ skills. Whether players want a more immersive experience or a tougher challenge, these mods offer exciting options to customize and enhance their Sifu gameplay..
What are the best Sifu mods?
This beat ’em up game is incredibly addicting, and its aging mechanics make it extremely unique among others in the genre.
However, when you go through the game a few times, you may want to switch things up a bit, and that’s where mods come in.
The modding community has made a ton of enhancements for this game, and today we’re taking a look at their best creations.
The 10 Best Sifu Mods
While there are many mods for Sifu, not all of them can improve the game in a meaningful way.
The mods we’ve chosen have been selected based on their endorsements and how significant the changes they make are.
So, before you’re next playthrough, check out our list of the 10 best Sifu mods:
10. Batman 2022
Starting off our list is a character replacement mod that is perfect for DC Comics fans.
Sure, you could play the best Batman games, or you can mod Batman into Sifu and bring his vengeance to China!
We guess the Bat needed a break from Gotham City, but unfortunately, his vacation plans have gone a little sideways.
Not only is this mod just fun to play with, but the character model is incredibly well-made!
The mod creator, NosbornGG, is also responsible for a ton of other character replacer mods for Sifu.
He has mods, including ones for Nightwing, Punisher, Daredevil, Black Widow, Rorschach, Red Hood, and more.
We’re not going to lie; we’ve had a ton of fun switching between these characters, but ultimately we decided that Batman would make the list.
That said, switching between this mod and the Nightwing mod is way more fun than it has any right to be.
However, all of these character mods are worth checking out, and we highly recommend them all!
9. Shaggy Rogers
Oh no! Yang made Shaggy use 1% of his power, and now the world will never be the same!
While the all-powerful Shaggy meme spawned from the aether in 2017, modders are still finding ways to put it into games.
So, of course, modder Claymaver couldn’t resist making this character replacement mod that is stupidly entertaining.
This custom-made Shaggy model replaces the male protagonist, and it’s really well done.
Armed with his infinite power, hundreds of killer moves, and a shit-eating grin, Shaggy is ready to kick some ass.
Seriously, this model of Shaggy perpetually looks like he’s about to steal your girl, knowing there’s nothing you can do about it.
When playing with this mod, it’s really hard to keep a straight face, and we only wish it came with voice lines.
You think we can talk Matthew Lillard into a voice-over mod? Now that would be epic!
8. Sifudoka Moveset
There are a ton of moves you can use in Sifu, 150 to be exact, making every battle a bit unique.
However, despite the diversity of moves in the vanilla game, modders have taken it upon themselves to add even more!
The Sifudoka Moveset mod is fast-paced and flashy, and it replaces almost all of the barehanded attacks in the game.
This mod places an emphasis on flashy attacks like elbow strikes, kicks, running slaps, and sweeps.
We really love all of the different kick moves that come with this moveset mod, and you can easily use nothing but them during a fight.
Best of all, this mod is balanced so that it doesn’t feel overpowered, which we really appreciate.
It really feels like an enhancement of the vanilla moveset, and we’ve had fun experimenting with all the new things it allows you to do!
That said, there are a number of moveset mods that make you feel like a protagonist in one of the best fighting anime series, and we’ve got more coming up!
7. Muay Thai Moveset
While the moves in Sifu are inspired by Bak Mei kung fu, this mod switches things up and allows players to practice Muay Thai.
Sometimes called Thai boxing, this combat sport is noted for its use of fists, elbows, knees, and shins, whereas Bak Mei focuses more on close-range hand strikes.
When installed, this moveset mod adds a number of jabs, kicks, and hooks that aren’t flashy, but they sure are powerful!
Some of the moves this mod adds include an elbow strike, rush front kick, flashkick, bodyguard hook, and spinning elbow.
This mod is incredibly fun to play around with, and the moves don’t feel clunky or out of place at all.
The Muay Thai Moveset mod is highly recommended if you’re looking for new and interesting ways to beat all of your opponents!
6. Modded Moveset
You know how we said there are a lot of moveset mods? Yeah, well, we have another one for you to try out!
Simply called the Modded Moveset, this mod changes up the moves you can do quite a bit, but it does something else that makes it stand out.
Instead of just adding in a bunch of new moves, this mod allows you to perform moves that previously only bosses could!
For example, the heavy strike after a parry has been replaced with Fajars heavy sidekick, while the hook intercept is now a flashkick!
You can also use Yang’s 3-hit combo, which replaces flowing claw, along with the Fire Disciple palm strike.
While all of the movesets we’ve mentioned so far are incredibly fun, this one ranks higher purely because of these replacements.
For too long, we’ve been jealous of the moves bosses could perform, and now the shoe’s on the other foot!
Sifu may be one of the best PS5 fighting games, but only on the PC can you use a boss’s moves against them.
If you’ve been wanting to give bosses a taste of their own medicine, do yourself a favor and try this mod out for yourself!
5. Sifu Randomizer Mod
Once you’ve played through Sifu a few times and learned everything about it, it can easily become a little less fun.
This is largely due to the fact that the element of surprise is gone, and now everything is a bit easier because you always know what to expect.
Well, this mod aims to fix this issue by randomizing every run so that you never know what’s coming up next!
When this mod is installed, you will have the option to randomize every run, which impacts weapons, enemies, and enemy difficulty.
You can tweak the randomizer’s settings before starting and set the percentage change for specific enemies and weapon randomization.
The only thing this mod doesn’t randomize is end bosses, which makes sense since randomizing them could cause them to become easier enemies.
We absolutely love having the ability to randomize Sifu, and it definitely can make the game a lot more challenging.
If you’re like us and have played way too much of this game and now need to spice it up, we highly recommend this mod!
4. Brawler Moveset
While the Sifu Arenas expansion allows you to go toe to toe with street thugs and bosses in 45 new challenging levels, it doesn’t exactly turn you into a cage fighter.
However, mod author CorvoCorvus45 has taken it upon himself to turn your player character into the ultimate street brawler.
The Brawler Moveset mod replaces a ton of moves and favors straight-up punching instead of fluid kung fu.
If you’re a fan of the best fighting games like Street Fighter, this mod will be right up your alley, and it’s really fun to play around with.
We will say that the moves it introduced are much slower than the vanilla moves, which does make the game a little bit harder.
However, if you’re someone that likes Sifu because of how challenging it is, you’ll enjoy the added difficulty!
This mod is just incredibly fun, especially when you’re playing the Arenas expansion, and it really makes you feel like a badass street fighter!
3. Yang Full Replacement
As the final boss, Yang is supposed to be the most difficult enemy you face while playing Sifu.
However, things get pretty interesting when you yourself become Yang, taking on his stance, moves, and appearance!
Yes, this mod replaces the player character with the final boss, which in turn, makes the final boss fight pretty hilarious.
While the Modded Moveset allows you to use boss moves, this one literally lets you become the main antagonist, which is pretty sweet.
Sure, we might be a bit biased because we kind of love Yang’s character design, but once you try it for yourself, we know you’ll love it.
Even if you don’t use this mod for the whole game, we’d recommend using it during the final fight against real Yang just because it’s so funny.
Yang is definitely one of the most interesting video game characters, and we’re really glad this mod gives players a chance to play as him!
2. Sifun
There is no denying that Sifu is an incredibly difficult game, and while it’s fun, it’s really easy to die again and again, causing you to age up dramatically.
Well, mod creator Gladias9 has created the Sifun mod as a way of making the game feel a bit more balanced.
This mod tweaks a ton of gameplay mechanics to make runs feel more balanced without sacrificing a lot of the difficulty.
With this mod installed, players have 50% more health, and both the player and enemies will move 25% faster.
It also changes how much health is replenished from kills and takedowns so that you get more health back to hopefully stay alive longer.
The FOV and camera distance, both in and out of combat, have been increased as well, making it easier to see what’s going on around your character.
Sifun is a good way to change up the gameplay experience for your next run, and it is perfect for those who felt the vanilla mechanics were a bit too unforgiving.
What we particularly like about this mod is that, while it gives you more health, it doesn’t tweak the difficulty of enemies, so fights are still tough.
Since Sifu is one of the best single player PS5 games, we’re glad this mod stays true to how the vanilla game is supposed to be played.
1. Unbreakable Weapons
Taking our number one spot is a mod that we are incredibly thankful for, as it makes all of the weapons in the game unbreakable.
Using weapons in Sifu is incredibly satisfying, and they can give you some much-needed power to take on some extremely difficult foes.
Unfortunately, in the vanilla game, weapons don’t last very long because, apparently, they’re made of the same material as the lockpicks in Skyrim.
Not only does losing a cool weapon suck, but it can leave you in a tricky situation during a battle which could quickly end up getting you killed!
Fortunately, this mod removes the weapon-breaking mechanic so that you can wield whatever you want for as long as you want!
This mod affects metal bats, wood bats, pipes, kodachi swords, machetes, and bo staffs, making them totally invincible.
So, if you want to run around beating people to death with a baseball bat, you absolutely can!
Sure, it may not be in the spirit of a kung fu-based game, but it certainly is a ton of fun, and we’re never uninstalling this mod!
Summary
We hope you’ve enjoyed our list of the 10 best Sifu mods and found some to spice up your next playthrough.
While there are a lot of martial arts video games to play, Sifu is by far one of the most fun and engaging.
