Download “OpenComputers Mod 1.12.2/1.11.2/1.10.2“, Most mods add content to the game to alter gameplay, change the creative feel.

With Minecraft being one of the most played games in the entire world, it seems reasonable to assume that there would be many options available for new and interesting content. Modifications are created for Minecraft all of the time, and they make the game more intriguing and fun to play for the enthusiasts. The Opencomputers Mod for Minecraft is no exception to this rule of thumb. This mod offers a vast array of options for keeping the gameplay exciting.

What’s in the mod?

Computers

OpenComputers-Mod-3.png

As if Minecraft wasn’t already a particularly bizarre and engaging game, the mod creates a whole new aspect to the game. It allows players to craft computers in-game. This could be beneficial in many respects, but one of the most notable features is that the Opencomputers Mod 1.12.2 continuously operates whatever attachment program the player engages. Whether the player has a 3D printer, a hologram machine, or some other convenient contraption, the game will continue running it without issue. The computers in game will also require fuel, and they need to be up and running in order to operate the robots and drones. Servers allow computers to be connected to each other with this modification as well, and tablets are a more mobile variant of the computer available within the game.

Robots and Drones

These kinds of entities are permitted similar options to players. They can move around the world and interact with all sorts of environmental stimuli with a high success rate. The robots are more powerful than drones, with more tools and available interactions than their less communicative brethren. Robots unfortunately require more components than drones, and are therefore harder to instigate. Drones do have their benefits, however. These metallic bots are significantly more mobile than the robots, and some of the interaction options differ between the two. For example, drones have the ability to leash animals, whereas robots cannot.

Modularity

OpenComputers-Mod-5.gif

A key focus of OpenComputers is modularity, allowing you to choose very dynamically from which parts to build your computers, robot and other devices. There are multiple tiers of computer cases, screens, graphics cards, network cards and so on. In that way there is also a certain level of progression in the mod, as you work towards building better, faster and more powerful computers.

Integration

OpenComputers-Mod-6.png

OpenComputers provides integration with many other mods: support for bundled redstone (Project Red, Redlogic and MineFactory Reloaded), covering cables (FMP and Immibis Microblocks), and obviously accepting power from several mods (RF, EU, Factorization Charge, Mekanism Joules, AE2 energy).

More interestingly however, OpenComputers provides a block that allows more in-depth interaction with other mods’ blocks, the Adapter. For supported blocks, the adapter will make those blocks available as components to connected computers, allowing them to read information such as energy levels and possible issue commands, such as playing notes on a note block. Many mods also provide built-in support for OpenComputers, meaning you can just hook up their blocks to a cable without needing an Adapter.

Config

OpenComputers-Mod-7.png

Most things in OpenComputers are configurable. Don’t like the power requirements? Change them or disabled them entirely. Screens not rendering from far enough away? Increase the render distance. The config file is heavily documented, so it should be pretty clear from each config entry’s comment what it does.
Aside from general configuration, it is also possible to adjust each of the item recipes in OpenComputers via recipe files – no need for Minetweaker! There are also a few different recipes set available, have a look in the config/opencomputers directory.

This aspect of the Opencomputers Mod is the category for the fun and intriguing additions to the computers. The two main components that offer the most benefit to players are the 3D printer and the hologram projector, both of which have various perks to their creation. The printer will allow the player to create individual and unique blocks, while the hologram machine projects an image into the world. These generate more fun for players.
