Blade & Sorcery, a virtual reality game, offers a wide range of mods to enhance gameplay. With countless options available, it can be overwhelming to find the best ones. Fortunately, this article narrows it down to the top 10 mods. Some highly recommended mods include the Outer Rim, which brings Star Wars elements to the game, and the Midgard Mod, introducing a Nordic theme. The U8 Custom Spells Pack allows players to create their own magical abilities, while the Realistic Combat Overhaul enhances combat mechanics. These mods, along with others mentioned, offer exciting and varied experiences for Blade & Sorcery players..
What are the best Blade And Sorcery mods?
Blade And Sorcery is an amazing game, and its latest updates have made it one of the most advanced VR sandboxes ever made.
The developer of the game, KospY, got his start working on mods for Kerbal Space Program and Fallout 3, which allowed him to learn programming.
Now, his finest creation is receiving love from the modding community, and we’ve rounded up the best mods created for this game!
The 10 Best Blade & Sorcery Mods
There are over 6000 mods for Blade And Sorcery on the Nexus, but not all of them enhance the game in a meaningful way.
The ones we’ve chosen here have been selected based on how they improve the game, their quality, and their ratings from users.
So, let your VR headset recharge for a bit and enjoy our list of the 10 best Blade And Sorcery mods:
10. Katana Megapack
Kicking off our list is a weapon pack that we strongly recommend every Blade And Sorcery player try out!
Since this game redefined VR melee combat, modders have been hard at work creating new weapons for players to use, and this is one of the best.
The Katana Megapack adds a ton of brand-new swords to the game, all based on traditional Japanese weapons with proper terminology.
This mod doesn’t miss a bit when it comes to depth, and it could be an official DLC, given how well it’s been crafted.
Along with the Katana, this mod also adds a Wakizashi, Uchigatana, Tachi, Nodachi, Odachi, and Nagamaki.
All of these weapons have custom damage, and they all come with their own saya (scabbard), and realistic drawing physics has been included.
For instance, Katanas and shortswords must be drawn with your fingers facing upwards, while the Tachi are mounted with the blade down, requiring a different draw.
Of course, you can always wear the blade alone if you don’t like the draw differences, but with a little practice, we found it’s really easy to get right.
This mod easily turns Blade And Sorcery into one of the best games like Ghost of Tsushima, and we love its attention to detail.
9. Jedi Knight Saber Pack
If you’re coming to Blade And Sorcery from one of the best Star Wars games, like Jedi Survivor, you may be itching to wield a lightsaber.
Well, you’re in luck because that’s exactly what this mod allows you to do, and it comes with a whopping 23 lightsabers to choose from!
Like the Katana Pack, this mod spares no details, and it has ignition animations and realistic hum, swing, clash, hit, and lock-up sounds.
You can also hold the trigger and press the activate button to change the color of your saber, with current choices being cyan, blue, yellow, green, red, purple, and white.
This mod also allows you to customize a lot of features, including ignition speed, hum volume, recall distance, and more.
If that wasn’t cool enough, this mod even comes with enemy waves for both Jedi and Sith, that range from very easy with 9 enemies total to impossible with 100!
The Jedi Knight Saber Pack really makes you feel like an intergalactic badass, and it’s perfect for any Star Wars fan.
8. Sharp AI
Sharp AI, as the name might suggest, is a mod that revolves around making the enemy AI in B&S as dynamic as possible.
This mod builds upon the existing code for NPCs and adds an additional 1800 lines of code that introduces new behavior patterns.
Some of these patterns include counter-attacking and backstepping to avoid incoming attacks from players.
The existing behaviors have also been improved so that NPCs will more and attack faster while also not losing their weapons as easily.
Moreover, during each wave, both the player and NPCs will have their health updated depending on the difficulty level.
We really like how much more challenging this makes the gameplay, so you can’t just wave your sword around willy-nilly.
If you want combat to be even more realistic, Sharp AI is one mod you definitely shouldn’t pass up!
7. Dark Chains
Dark Chains introduces the ability to use telekinesis on enemies, and it is incredibly fun to play with!
With this mod installed, you can literally toss NPCs around like ragdolls and even use them as projectiles against other NPCs.
Along with this, Dark Chains also comes with a force choke ability that you can use to lift up enemies and even tear their limbs off.
You can even leave enemies suspended in the air while taking care of other threats, which is a feature we really like.
Sure, this mod does tend to make many fights much easier, but it definitely is hilarious, and the force choke ability is perfect for using alongside the Saber Pack.
While the gravity magic added to the vanilla game has similar features, this mod remains one of the best on the Nexus.
6. Bickle’s Skyrim Weapons
Have you ever wanted to use the best one-handed Skyrim swords in Blade And Sorcery? Well, thanks to this mod, now you can!
Bickle’s Skyrim Weapons port several of the most iconic weapons from The Elder Scrolls V into B&S, with high-quality textures.
With this mod, you can use elven daggers, swords, greatswords, and war axes, and their models look absolutely fantastic.
There is also Dragonbane, the unique Blade’s sword from Sky Haven Temple, and Oathblade, but, by far, our favorites are the Daedric weapons.
While this mod does lack the Daedric mace and warhammer, it still features the Daedric sword, greatsword, dagger, war axe, and battle axe!
These weapons look incredibly cool, and because you have the freedom actually to swing them in B&S, they feel much more rewarding to use than in Skyrim VR.
Of course, this mod also adds additional weapons, such as the Celtic Katana, Dragon Katana, and Zatoichi.
Additionally, Bickle has created the B&S Witcher 3 Weapons mod so that you can mix and match weapons from these two great series.
Both of these mods are absolutely fantastic, and they have quickly become permanent additions to our load orders!
5. Medieval Megapack
If you want to have access to more weapons than you’ll know what to do with, look no further than the Medieval Megapack.
This mod adds over 400 historically themed weapons from cultures all around the world, and it is seriously impressive.
Some of the unique weapons this mod adds are Greek fire bombs, Indian Lohangi Katti, Fukiya blowguns, and wheellock muskets.
There are greatswords, single-edge swords, daggers, bludgeons, thrusting swords, axes, ranged weapons, spears, shields, and even a frying pan!
Pretty much, if you can think of it, this mod has more than likely added it to Blade And Sorcery in some capacity!
We spent hours testing out this mod, and we’ve only scratched the surface of everything this Megapack adds, but we can say that it’s incredibly fun.
Over a million players have already downloaded this mod, and we strongly suggest joining them if you haven’t already!
4. Heartbreaker
The best Dragon Age 2 mods may not be able to turn you into Fenris, but this mod certainly does!
With this mod installed, a new spell is added that allows you to be able to phase through objects, meaning you can literally tear out or crush the hearts of NPCs.
If you do tear out an enemy’s heart, you will be able to feel it beating in your hand, which is both so cool and really grody.
Heartbreaker also comes with a ton of configuration options where you can change how this mod works.
For example, you can change how hard you have to squeeze to crush hearts or how hard you have to pull to tear them out.
While this mod won’t give you cool Lyrium tattoos, it is really fun to play around with, and it’s a great option to have during combat!
3. Mythical Weapon Pack
While not as vast as the Medieval Megapack, this mod adds 20 extremely powerful weapons that each have unique effects.
With these weapons, you can make use of a variety of powers, including elemental, life-draining, and mind-controlling effects.
Some of our favorite weapons from this mod are the Acursed Devourer, which heals the wielder when soaked in blood, and the Soulfire, which burns with an unnatural flame.
There is also the Shrouded Dagger, which can turn you invisible, and the Holy Levin Blade, which is imbued with lightning!
These weapons all fit perfectly into Blade And Sorcery, and they each have high-quality models that look amazing.
We love how unique these weapons are, and they really stand out from anything else that’s been added to the game thus far!
2. Bloodborne Hunters Arsenal
Bloodborne is one of the best RPG PS4 games, and now some of its best weapons have been added to Blade And Sorcery!
This mod adds a ton of new weapons to choose from, including the Threaded Cane, the Beast Cutter, and the Whirligig Saw.
You can also make use of the Bloodletter, which can be transformed into its true form at the cost of 30% of your health and 1HP every 3 seconds.
While this makes it slightly more hardcore than its Bloodborne counterpart, seeing how powerful it is, this health drain is necessary for balance.
What’s really fun about this mod, though, is the extendable weapons that can be transformed from one-handed to two-handed for extra power.
Of course, this mod also adds firearms, and they do require bullets, so you can’t just fire infinitely at your enemies.
If that wasn’t enough, there are detachable weapons, like the Burial Blade And Blade of Mercy, that can be split into two for dual-wielding.
Now, we’ll be the first to admit that these Bloodborne trick weapons are definitely OP on lower difficulties, but they’re so rewarding to use.
With this mod, you can finally bring your Bloodborne Hunter into the world of B&S, and we are absolutely obsessed.
1. The Outer Rim
Taking our number one spot is a mod that is geared toward anyone who loves Star Wars and wants to live out their dreams of being a Jedi.
While we covered the Jedi Knight Saber Pack earlier, this mod is a total conversion for Blade And Sorcery, and it’s pretty amazing.
This mod adds over 300 weapons and armor items from the Star Wars universe, including lightsabers, blasters, helmets, and more.
It also introduces custom NPCs and many more types of AI waves that you can test your skills against.
Interchangeable saber crystals and the ability to adjust the blade length of your lightsabers are other additions.
Now, that would be more than enough to sell us on this mod, but the Outer Rim takes things even further.
Along with all of this, you can also choose to use fully functional blasters with different fire modes, scopes, and stun abilities.
There is even a load of custom maps to experience, such as the Felucia Marshlands, Kamino, Naboo, Mos Eisley, Ebon Hawk, Tatooine, and more!
Additionally, Outer Rim comes with an optional file that modifies the gravity spell to be more like The Force with jump and push abilities.
Best of all, this mod has a ton more content planned for the future, including new maps like the Death Star and Mustafar.
Even if you’re not a die-hard Star Wars fan, we highly recommend checking out this mod because it really feels just like an official DLC!
