Download Classic Combat Mod 1.12.2->1.14.4 Description:
Bring Old Combat Back with the Classic Combat Mod
The new combat system has a lot of people annoyed and angry, wanting the old version back. The Cooldown effect makes it harder to fight off mobs, forcing you to run away or work harder than you did previously. For most people, both of these options are bad. You do not want to leave the fights, nor do you want to die because you have to work around the Cooldown. The Classic Combat Mod for Minecraft is a solution to this. It removes the Cooldown effect so that combat is exactly as it was before. The only thing it does is remove that Cooldown effect so you can fight continuously without difficulty.
The Old System
Everyone talks about how much they want the old back, and for a variety of reasons. In this instance, there are plenty of good reasons why the old version is better than the new. In the old combat system, you could fight for as long as you would like. There was no Cooldown effect, making it possible to take on mobs easily. Nothing stopped you from fighting, no matter how long you fought. The new system, however, implemented the Cooldown effect that requires you to wait after fighting for a certain amount of time.
The Classic Combat Mod brings back the system you love. You are not dealing with the Cooldown effect at all, at any point. You can fight forever without worrying about a thing.
Nothing Changes
When using the Classic Combat Mod 1.11.2/1.10.2, you do not have to worry about any big changes. The only difference is the removal of the Cooldown, and that is it. You still swing, have your weapons, have shields, and even have the Cooldown bar. The only difference is that the bar and Cooldown effect do nothing.
When it comes to the server and the actual gameplay, nothing really changes, either. It is compatible with all mods, does not interfere with anything, and does nothing to impact game quality or playability. Everything is exactly as it should be, but with the old combat system in use.
The mod adds a great feature to the game that most miss. If you loved the old combat system, and want to bring it back, this is the mod you want. It is simple and effective, only changing what it should and doing nothing more.
