Security Craft Mod – Build your own maximum security facility (1.19.3 -> 1.7.10)

What is the Security Craft Mod?

Security Craft is a Minecraft mod created for folks who are sick of thieves and monsters breaking into their homes without their consent. The mod’s designer, Geforce, has tinkered with certain tools to turn your house into an invincible fortress.

The mod will include security cameras, turrets, remote access mines, lasers, retinal scanners, keypads, and unbreakable doors … Except for the owner, you may set up passwords and key codes to obtain entry via impregnable doors.

This mod compatible with all Forge versions of Minecraft (1.19.3 -> 1.7.10) and Bedrock Edition (1.19 -> 1.18), adds a host of surveillance and detection tools to prevent anyone from approaching your house.

A redstone signal is released each time you activate the system in the right way, enabling you to open a door, activate a command block or a trap, and so on. Each block or system in this mod is powered by redstone.

For beginning, you must get the mod’s crafts guide. It is especially helpful because it offers a graphic representation of each block as well as an explanation of how it works. If you’re in survival mode, type /sc help in the dialogue bar, or just grab it from inventory if you’re in creative mode.

The Universal Block Modifier

The universal block modifier

What it mean?

The modifier is the basic tool you will want to craft. This tool allows you to modify each of your blocks and give them different attributes, such as hurting someone who would trigger the system.

How to use?

To use it, you just have to take it in hand and right-click on the block of your choice: an inventory/contextual menu will appear so that you can tweak your system.

Security Systems

Images How to work Advantages
The laser block The laser block
  • The laser blocks will work in pairs: when two laser blocks are placed face to face or vertically, at a distance of up to 5 blocks, you will see a red laser beam appear.
  • This laser beam serves as a detector for anyone walking through it, and will activate a redstone signal if you cross it.
  • To use the whitelist (or blacklist) module, simply hold the module in your hand and do /module add <playername> to add someone to it, or /module remove <playername> to remove it.
  • Attention: for the block to work, care must be taken that the two are placed in a straight line, either horizontally or vertically, otherwise they will not work.
  • The weapon module allows you to cause damage to anyone who passes through the laser beam, thus punishing unwanted visitors. But that goes for you too! This is why you will need the second module, the whitelist module, which allows you to pass through your radius without activating it!
  • This way, you can be the only one who can get through your traps, leaving intruders the joy of getting killed for breaking into your home without permission.
The inventory scanner

The inventory scanner

  • This block works much like the laser block, but only reacts to your inventory.
  • Inventory check mode will remove any requested item from your inventory when you pass through it, no matter how many you have.
  • Redstone mode will simply activate a redstone signal for about 3 seconds if you walk through it with the required item in your possession.
  • Small precision: this block has a very low range. You can only have one separator block between the two scanners. Also pay attention that the blocks face each other.
  • It will only activate when you walk through the red laser with a specific item (which you decide) in your possession. You can give it two different functionalities: verification, or redstone.
  • So be careful not to destroy valuables, you won’t see them again! You can have the block destroy any weapon or TNT to prevent someone from causing tiles to you.
  • You could use this system as a secret code to open a door: “the door will only open if you bring a feather”.
  • You can add 3 modules to this block: Whitelist; Simple module and Storage module
The retinal scanner The retinal scanner
  • You really get into technology with the retinal scanner. As you might expect, this block activates when its owner is in front of it.
  • It will then emit a redstone signal 15 blocks long.
The framing panel and its applications The framing panel and its applications
  • The framing panel serves as the basis for two very useful systems, and is therefore an essential element to craft from the start.
  • It looks like an iron block as you can see, but it has a hole on the front side. It is in this hole that you will place the compatible tool of your choice.
The numeric keypad The numeric keypad
  • The numeric keypad is as simple as it sounds: after crafting a keypad, you put it in the bezel panel, choose your secret code and voila!
  • Inserting the correct code enables a redstone signal to be emitted. The red dot at the bottom right of the keyboard turns green when you have entered the correct code.
The surveillance camera The surveillance camera
  • The surveillance camera allows you to view the surroundings of the area in which it was placed. Convenient to monitor your wealth!
  • To start, you must have crafted the panel and the camera. A simple right click, and the camera will be installed. Next, you need to craft a monitor. A monitor, to work, must be affiliated with a camera.
  • Simply take the monitor in hand, and right-click on the camera you want to view. And There you go ! Be aware that a monitor can be affiliated with a large number of cameras, so no need to make several.
  • Once your monitor is ready, all you have to do is right-click on it to enter video-camera mode: now in control of the camera, you can see everything in front of you.
  • To move the screen, you must use the ZQSD keys. The N key lets you activate night vision, and the + and – keys let you zoom, any command can be changed in the options.
  • Also, if you add a redstone module to your camera, you will be able to emit a redstone signal by pressing R. You can also adjust how fast your camera will pan.
The card reader The card reader
  • The card reader is another security system that emits a redstone signal. To activate it, you obviously need a card.
  • There are 6 levels of security in all, with level 1 to 5 cards, then the limited use card (5 uses) which is level 6.
  • When you place the block, with a right click, you can decide the level of security and have it activate either by a card of equal or higher level, or by a card of a level strictly equal to the one you decide.
  • You can add two modules to your player:
    • whitelist, to authorize only certain people to use it, regardless of the level of their card;
    • blacklist, to ban certain players from using it completely.
Password protected vault Password protected vault
  • In the same spirit as the numeric keypad, this safe protected by a numerical password can only be opened if you enter the correct code.
  • It can contain as many objects as a classic chest and can be doubled. When you first put it down, right-click to set the code, and another right-click to enter the code and open it. There is no simpler!
Password protected oven

Password protected oven
  • Again along the same lines, if you want to prevent anyone from taking your food while it’s cooking, just use this oven.
  • It will only open with the correct password.
Lumberjack username lumberjack username
  • Yes, the name of this block is weird, but it’s clearly a translation error (the original name is “Username Logger”, which means “Username log”, but as “logger” means logger in French, they messed up).
  • This log, when fed with redstone, allows you to get a list of every player who will approach it within 3 blocks. Practical, therefore, to find the names of your potential thieves.
Alarm Alarm
  • A little more classic, but effective: a good old alarm. As soon as it is fed redstone, it will start ringing loudly.
  • Coupled with other devices that create a current of redstone, it can alert you very quickly.
Portable radar portable radar
  • The portable radar can be dropped off anywhere. Having a very large range, it will alert you via a message in the chat when a player approaches it. Convenient for spotting from afar!
  • You can adjust the detection distance (up to 50 blocks!) and the interval between two scans. You can also add two modules to it:
    • whitelist, so it doesn’t spot you;
    • redstone, so that it emits a redstone signal whenever it detects someone.
Panic button

panic button
  • Need to keep your traps active for a while is the panic button.
  • This button works like a lever: press it and it will stay engaged until you press it again.

Deterrents and traps

Tasers Tasers
  • The taser is a self-defense gun that sends electricity into the target’s body to incapacitate them. In this mod, each target hit will be inflicted with Nausea III, Slow III, and Weakness III conditions for 20 seconds.
    The gun reloads automatically.
Trap cage Trap cage
  • A quick and easy way to trap anyone who decides to encroach on your land. The operation couldn’t be simpler: put it on the ground and wait for someone to step on it. A large cage will appear around the victim, thus enclosing them.
  • These are not classic iron bars! No no, ladies and gentlemen. They are  indestructible! You are free to do what you want with your victim after that.

Protection

Protection
  • A tribute to the Protectos from the game Mega Man Battle Network 2 , the Protecto is a rather special defense turret. Indeed, he uses lightning to char everything within a radius of 10 blocks. So be careful not to leave it outside when creepers are around!
  • To make it work, just put it outside when it rains. He must be able to see the sky, so don’t put anything above it!
Fake water & fake lava Fake water & fake lava
  • Be careful, we could easily be wrong, but no! These are indeed fakes.
  • Both work the same way as their original version, but with one difference: the fake water will damage you, and the fake lava will heal you!
  • It’s up to you how you want to trap your intruders…
Mine Mine
  • We don’t redo the great classics! The mine is a simple but effective trap: if someone steps on it, it goes boom. Convenient for calling intruders to order.
  • Warning: do not try to remove the mine manually, it will explode!
Antipersonnel mine Antipersonnel mine
  • In the same spirit, but with much more violence, the anti-personnel mine works like a normal mine. Except that the explosion radius is much larger. It is strongly advised not to deploy it near a construction.
  • Again, not to be removed by hand.
Mine blocks Mine blocks
  • As harmless as these blocks may seem, don’t be fooled! These blocks will explode as soon as you touch them! And the blast is powerful enough to knock you through the air and finish you off, if you had the slightest hint of hit points left.
  • For the oven, you have to try to use it so that it explodes. As for the rails, you have to drive over them with a wagon.
  • Just like other mines, it is best to avoid removing these blocks by hand.
Claymore Claymore
  • This small Space Invader-like mine explodes when it detects an entity passing in front of it within a radius of 5 blocks. The explosion will occur under the entity’s feet, regardless of its distance from the claymore.
  • To clarify, “in front” of the claymore is where the two red antennae are pointing. When you land a claymore, it will automatically face the direction you are looking
SMI SMI
  • The SMI, or Intelligent Munitions System, is an automatic defense weapon. When deployed, the SMI will send a mine to a target located within its range radius. You can choose to target either players or hostile players and monsters.
  • The SMI has only 4 ammo. When they have all been used, the weapon self-destructs.

Armored blocks

All the blocks you can see here are shielded. Now indestructible, the only way to break them is to use a Universal Block Mover .

These blocks will be a perfect support for your mines, since the explosions will not harm them.

Electrified Iron Fence

Electrified Iron Fence

This iron barrier works like a normal barrier. However, it is indestructible and causes damage to anyone who touches it. Better to keep your “mimines” away!

Tools for control in Security Craft Mod

Universal block mover

Universal block mover
  • This is a very handy tool! The universal block mover allows you to pick up any object or block without breaking it with a right click. Something to recover your windows, for example! It is also the only item that can recover/break armored blocks.
  • But be careful: only the person who placed the armored block in question can destroy it.

Code breaker

Code breaker
  • Can’t remember a code to open your safe or use your oven? The code breaker will help you.
  • You just need to right click on any code lock to crack the code and open it without problem. But it does not make the code disappear! Each time you want to open your locked object, you will have to use it.

Mine Remote Access Tool

Mine Remote Access Tool
  • Safety first ! This tool allows you to remotely control your mines, in order to activate/deactivate them or detonate them safely.
  • To use it, you must right-click with the tool in hand on a mine. You can affiliate up to 5 mines at a time per tool. Once your mine is affiliated, you can use the remote tool by right clicking in the air and choose to activate, deactivate or detonate your mine.
  • The tool can control the basic mine, the anti personnel mine, and all mine blocks.

Wire clamp

Wire clamp
  • A mine that is not yours is a problem for you? Use the wire clamp! By right-clicking with this tool on a mine, you can deactivate it before breaking it. Be careful approaching it!

Universal block shield

Universal block shield
  • The Universal Block Shield is the tool you are looking for if you want to shield your blocks. There are 3 different levels for this tool, but they only correspond to a durability extension:
    • level 1 can be used 300 times.
    • level 2 can be used 2700 times.
    • level 3 has infinite durability.

Universal owner modifier

Universal owner modifier
  • As you will have noticed, many blocks work with a property system. This is why the universal owner modifier can be useful for you: it allows you to change the owner of a block, so that another person can interact with it.
  • To use it, you will need an anvil: put the universal modifier on it and give it the name of the player you want as its new owner. Once that’s done, right-click on the block in question, and voila!

Napkin

Napkin
  • Enough to keep your precious resources on you! A briefcase can hold up to 12 items, and can only be opened with a 4-digit password that you create. Good luck stealing resources from a dead player!
